WHO ARE THE FRIENDS OF WATERFIRE?
In February 2008, volunteers of WaterFire Providence joined together to form “Friends of WaterFire”, a volunteer group dedicated to raise money that will help keep the fires burning at WaterFire.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THESE EVENTS?
Friends of WaterFire or “FOW” is a group that believes strongly in the mission of WaterFire Providence: to inspire Providence, presenting WaterFire to illuminate our city, transform the urban experience, exalt the spirit, and bring beauty into our lives. The Friends of WaterFire aspire to promote community pride while offering a fun, friendly and relaxing environment for all those attending. Each FOW event will allow the public to step outside the fires and show their support for one of the most popular attractions our city has to offer! Through these public fundraising efforts, the Friends of WaterFire hope to organize events to continue the beauty of WaterFire.
